CAP DAY Information
CAP Day 2004 will be held on Saturday, November 27th. All CAP Sites who have registered for this event have been sent a package containing t-shirts, frizbees, water bottles and other CAP promotional items to be used as prizes during the event. Ads have been placed in The Telegram as well as many local provincial papers to notify the public of our upcoming event.

On Saturday, November 27th, please encourage your patrons to visit the CAP website at www.nfcap.nf.ca where they will find a banner ad linking to an online ballot. Visitors who complete the online ballot will be entered for a chance to win one of three digital cameras.

On behalf of the entire CAP Head Office we’d like to thank you for participating in CAP Day. Have a great day and don’t forget to send in photos and stories from your event.
CAP-YI Regional TrainingBack to Top
CAP-YI Regional Training took place last week from November 15-18 in Deer Lake and Grand Falls-Windsor, and in St. John's on November 22. Twenty-six (26) Youth Interns participated in an interactive, on-line training session that covered such topics as marketing and promoting a CAP site, how to deliver a training session, and web site development. It was a great opportunity for participants to meet their fellow interns and to interact with CAP-NL staff. Everyone walked away with a better understanding of their job responsibilities and are eager to get started at their respective CAP sites.

Thank you to all who participated and helped out during the sessions.
Revenue Generations / Christmas TagsBack to Top
\Many CAP Sites are looking for new ways to raise revenue for their CAP Sites. Here's a holiday idea that could you can use to raise some money. Several CAP Sites have begun making Christmas Gift Tags that they can sell to patrons for a small price. It's very simple!

1. Buy some blank printer labels (you pick the size).
2. Create a holiday graphic or download one from the Internet.
3. Open your favorite word processing document and select the proper label size that you bought.
4. Import the graphic onto the label.
5. Customize it by adding the name of the person or family who is doing the gift giving.
